The TAO project gathers ten partners, including one university, three schools, and several NGOs from five different EU member states: Belgium, Italy, Greece, Poland, and Germany.

Safe Food Advocacy Europe (SAFE) is a European non-profit organisation based in Brussels, whose main objectives are to ensure that consumers’ health and concerns remain at the core of the EU Food Legislation by improving the representation of European citizens in the debate on the future of EU Food Legislation.

Partner – BELGIUM

The European Childhood Obesity group (ECOG) is a pan-European group of professionals dealing with childhood obesity and overweight such as paediatricians, psychologists, nutritionists, geneticists, physical activity experts, economists and many more. The group was founded in 1991 and its mission is to help the European Community understand the impacts of childhood obesity.

Partner – ITALY

Amici Obesi (ANPO) is the Italian national association of obese patients. Created in 2005, ANPO provides counselling and psychological support to obese patients and their families and helps former obese patients that seek to be reintegrated into society.

Partner – ITALY

Società Scientifica Nutrizione Vegetale (SONVE) is an Italian non-profit organisation that provides information on healthy nutrition, as well as scientific knowledge on plant-based nutrition and its health benefits.

The organisation is recent and has mainly worked on scientific projects. Nevertheless, its Statutes demonstrate the will to offer nutrition trainings in schools, especially to teachers, as well as parents and their children.

Partner School – ITALY

Liceo Scientifico Enrico Fermi (LSF) is a public secondary school located in the south of Italy (Aversa). It gathers around 2250 students and 200 teachers. It operates in an area at risk of social exclusion, with problems related to organised crime, unemployment, child exploitation and early school leaving. By participating in this project, the school wishes to increase adolescents’ knowledge on health and nutrition while training teachers to improve their interactions with students living with overweight and obesity.

Doukas School (DS) is a Greek private school renowned for its innovative educational practices and its potential to create replicable educational transformation. Indeed, since its founding in 1917, Doukas School has always tried to keep up with the latest trends in education which allows the school to offer its 1600 students one of the finest educational and athletic programs in the country.

Partner – GERMANY

AdipositasHilfe Deutschland (AHD) is one of two German nationwide patient organisations. The organisation is specialised in designing therapy programmes for obese children and adolescents. Founded in 2013 as a patient organisation to support obese people and groups, its main goals are the recognition of obesity as a disease and the prevention of childhood obesity.

Partner – POLAND

The University of Rzeszow (UR) was created through the merger of the Pedagogical University of Rzeszow, the Rzeszow branches of Maria Curie Sklodowska University in Lublin, and the Agricultural Academy in Krakow. The University develops research projects, participates in various educational programmes and cooperates with foreign higher education institutions and with universities within the Erasmus+ programme.

The organisation is bringing together nutrition and behavioural analysis for obesity, overweight and diabetes prevention. EmotiFood’s purposes are the management of centres specializing in food education, psychotherapy and diet.
